Use it below 270°C (520°F).
It clips across the lip of the door. Take it off above 270°C, and always for pizza, as the heat can damage the bottom of the door gasket.

Why take it off above 270°C (520°F)?
The drip tray sits across the lip of the door. Above 270°C (520°F), it carries heat from inside the oven into the bottom of the door, and that can damage the door gasket (seal). Take it off before you turn the heat up, and always when you're making pizza.
Can it go in the dishwasher?
Yes, it's dishwasher safe. You can also wash it in warm soapy water, with steel wool or fine sandpaper for stubborn marks.
