This premium British Oak charcoal from Love Logs is a high quality natural fuel made from sustainably sourced British Oak for clean burning, dependable performance, and brilliant flavour. Oak is a denser hardwood than Ash, so while it can take a little longer for your Charlie to come up to temperature, it burns longer and delivers powerful heat with excellent heat stability. It works particularly well for pizza, roasting, baking, and longer cooks where consistent temperatures matter.
Once up to temperature, oak charcoal responds beautifully in a Charlie, holding heat consistently with very little fuel. You get clean combustion, rich charcoal-fired flavour, and less excess ash or smoke throughout the cook. No fillers. No binders. No additives. No briquettes.

The first impression is how well it is made, and the second is the wonderful splash of colour it brings to the garden. It is very simple to use after only a little practice. So far have cooked at low temperature as well as Pizza at high temperature. Following guidance given by Neil and Tara you simply can't go wrong. My results initially varied a little through the learning curve, but are now very pleasing. It is a joy to use, easy to clean and is built to last.I am extremely pleased I bought it.
