    Experience a Cooking Mini Break with Charlie

    Join us for the perfect weekend designed for food lovers and fire-cooking enthusiasts at Tresillian House in Cornwall. Over the course of two days, you will participate in cooking classes using the Charlie Oven, featuring a variety of techniques and recipes. A variety of regional chefs will be hosting the classes.

     

    Arrive on Thursday to settle in, enjoy a delicious feast, and meet your fellow guests. On Friday and Saturday, enjoy a range of classes and feasts. Depart on Sunday morning.

     

    This event will be our second retreat at Tresillian House; we had such a wonderful time last year that we decided to do it again.

     

    Prices are per person, with a minimum booking of two per room. Please get in touch with us for pricing details for single occupancy.

    Your Itinerary

    Thursday

    • Guests arrive at 4 pm for a welcome cream tea.
    • Cocktails and Dinner 7 pm: Meet other guests and enjoy a relaxed dinner with drinks

    Friday

    • Morning
      • Early morning swim or walk (optional) at 8 am
      • Breakfast at Tresillian
      • Pizza and bread making class 10 am-1pm 
    • Evening
      • A Mediterranean fish and seafood feast at 4 pm. Learn how to cook fish and seafood.
      • Dinner at 7:30 pm

    Saturday

    • Brunch class at 9 am 
      • Learn to make a range of brunch dishes.
    • Dinner
      • An autumnal meat feast with seasonal vegetables 

    Sunday

      • Optional walk or swim
      • Big cooked breakfast and departure

    Accommodation 

    Choose from twin, double, or deluxe double rooms, each with ensuite facilities. Prices are based on sharing with two people, including all food and drinks. Please get in touch with us directly for rates on single occupancy.


    What's included

    Breakfasts and cooking feasts with wine and beer and cocktails with the meals.
    Honesty bar available after dinner.
    Massage (optional extra fee)
    Mackerel fishing (optional extra fee).

    Your Hosts

    Jonny and Alan, both ex-Londoners with a rich background in hospitality, will be your hosts. Jonny has opened restaurants for Mark Hix, managed The Groucho Club restaurants, and opened Tapas Brindisa in Borough Market. Together, they bring their vast experience to create a memorable weekend.

    Fantastic weekend at Tresillion House in Newquay Cornwall. Very well organised hands on event with guest chef Andrew Clark showing us new cooking techniques and food combinations with some amazing top quality ingredients. Thank you Charlie Ovens for organising this event, I would go back tomorrow and highly recommend this to anyone else looking to improve there outdoor cooking skills.
