Your Charlie Oven arrives fully assembled. Simply wheel it into position and lock the front castors.
It comes with two standard cooking racks. Other cooking accessories are sold separately.
It can be placed close to walls, outdoor kitchen units or other structures. Just allow a 2–5 cm gap around the sides and back for proper airflow.
For chimney clearance, make sure there’s at least 50 cm of space above the flue to any roof or overhead structure.
The Charlie Oven flue system is modular and easy to adapt. It uses an industry-standard 100 mm (4 inch) diameter flue, so you can customise the setup to suit your space — including flue extensions, elbows to redirect the chimney, or routing through a ceiling or wall.
We offer longer flue sections and insulated flue kits for through-wall or through-ceiling installations. These are priced based on your setup. For more complex installations, you can also speak to a local fireplace or flue specialist.
Important: The Charlie Oven is designed for outdoor use. It must not be used indoors unless connected to a certified commercial-grade ventilation and extraction system. Proper airflow is essential for safe operation.
Charlie Oven (fully assembled), two heavy-duty stainless steel rod cooking racks, adjustable internal rack system, ash tray, charcoal grate.
Wipe down the exterior with warm soapy water and a soft cloth, then dry thoroughly. Do not use abrasive sponges on the painted surfaces, as they can damage the finish.
Clean the stainless steel cooking racks with mild soapy water and fine wire wool to lift any food residue.
To deep-clean the interior, heat the oven to 400°C (750°F) to burn off any built-up fat or grease. Once fully cooled, brush the ash down through the lower air vent and empty the ash pan.
The ash pan will usually need emptying after every 8 to 10 cooks. Keep an eye on ash buildup under the grates inside the oven: the floor has a shallow slope, so it can help to lift the grates and brush the ash manually towards the bottom air vent for easier removal.
Check and clean the spark arrestor regularly to prevent grease buildup in the chimney, which can restrict airflow.

THREE YEAR MANUFACTURER WARRANTY:
The manufacturer warrants this product to be free from defects in workmanship and materials, under normal residential use and conditions, for a period of 3 years from the original invoice date.
Shipping and handling fees are to be paid for by the customer. The manufacturer agrees, at its option during the warranty period, to repair any defect in material or workmanship or to furnish a repaired or refurbished product of equal value in exchange without charge (except for a fee for shipping, handling, packing, return postage, and insurance which will be incurred by the customer). Such repair or replacement is subject to verification of the defect or malfunction and proof of purchase as confirmed by showing the original dated sales receipt.
In the Charlie Oven, we use components, surface treatments and materials that are designed to live outdoors all year round and resist rusting and weathering, including using high temperature powder coat paint on exterior metal surfaces. These surfaces can be damaged by being scratched and dented and can then rust. Certain conditions and chemicals (eg fertilisers, pesticides, chlorine (including from pools or hot tubs) and salt) can corrode the powder coat and finish on metal coatings. As such, the warranty on metal and stainless steel components does not cover rust, oxidization, fading or other blemishes, unless it also causes these parts to cease to function or lose structural integrity.

Thinking about a Charlie Oven? Here are the top 10 questions people ask before buying—everything you need to know in one place.
I really did my research before taking the plunge. All the videos were useful and FireCookingChris posts masses of recipes for inspiration. It seemed hugely important that the Charlie is made in UK and justifies the investment. Tara was so responsive to all my questions and it gave the purchase the personal touch. The delivery went smoothly and getting the oven into position was really helped by the friendly guy who came in the van who went above and beyond.
Finally the cooking itself is a dream. Easy to light. Quick to temp and holds it exactly as specified. I’ve cooked a casserole, roasted a chicken with the BEST roast potatoes ever, and our pizzas came out better than any restaurant.
I really can’t praise the Charlie enough. I genuinely love it and cooking outdoors is all I want to do from now on!! Thanks Team Charlie.
Hi Dan, Thanks for taking the time to leave such a considered and detailed review. We love it when people use their Charlie a lot because the more you use it, the more. you discover all the ways to make food taste better. And, it's fun too. Take care, Tara
Tara and team couldn’t have done more for us, from the initial enquiry to the delivery time to the delivery team, can’t praise them highly enough. The Charlie itself is fabulous! Easy to use, versatile and wonderful results.
Not only is Charlie an amazing piece of kit but so are the team behind it. I love that it’s British built by a small team. The build quality is amazing as is their customer service. We’ve not had Charlie long but our first few experiments have been great. The thing that is really surprising us at the moment is how he holds his temperature, it’s been a game changer for our low and slow cook ups. Really looking forward to experimenting more. Thank you
Thank you so much for your fantastic review! We’re absolutely thrilled that you’re loving your Charlie Oven and that it’s already making a difference to your cooking. The heat retention really is a game changer, especially for low and slow cook-ups – we can’t wait to hear what else you experiment with!
It also means a lot to us that you value Charlie being British-built and made by a small team. We put so much care into every oven, and knowing that it’s making a real impact for you makes all the hard work worth it.
Happy cooking, and if you ever need anything, we’re always here! 🔥
